Qi pulling is one of the fundamental methods in Zhineng Qigong. We can quickly experience qi while doing the qi pulling.
Sit upright. Look into the horizon, withdraw vision and slowly close eyes. Tuck chin in and raise baihui.
Relax the whole body, starting from head to feet.
Place both hands in front of the abdomen, with palms facing each other and fingers pointing forward. Close palms until almost touching. Open palms outwards slowly until 15 to 20cm apart. Repeat the closing and opening and focus on the space between the palms.
After a while, you will feel some force between the palms. This is the qi formed by the hand movement and the focus of your mind.
When you are familiar with qi pulling, you can think of the universe while opening and think inside your body while closing.
Lastly, place palms on top of navel (for men, right palm on top of left palm, reverse for ladies). Relax and nourish qi for a minute.
Qi pulling can be done on sitting, standing or lying position. |
