Introduction to the Founder of Zhineng Qigong

Professor Pang Ming was born in Hebei province in 1940 in China. He is a famous doctor of both Chinese and Western medicine as well as the founder of Zhineng Qigong.

Professor Pang learned martial arts and qigong from a total of nineteen different masters including Buddhist monks, Taoist priests, famous doctors of traditional Chinese medicine as well as some other famous qigong practitioners. In 1958, he graduated from Beijing Medical Specialty School in Western Medicine and worked as a doctor in Beijing. Meanwhile, he also learned traditional Chinese medicine and also became a famous doctor in this field. He was selected to be one of the sixty-three representatives to attend the first Chinese and Western Medicine National Conference in Beijing in 1979.

As a doctor, he also used qigong to treat his patients and developed more ability to use it to cure different types of diseases. In 1979, Professor Pang formed the Beijing Qigong Research Society in Beijing. In the spring of 1981, he formally introduced Zhineng Qigong to the public.

In 1988, he founded the HeBei Zhineng Qigong College in Shijiazhuang. Later, it moved to Qinhuangdao and renamed as Huaxia Zhineng Qigong Training Center. Zhineng Qigong has taught more than millions of people in China and over the world.

Professor Pang is a man having profound knowledge and is definitely the first to develop the science of qigong. In fact, Zhineng Qigong was formally ranked as the top one qigong by the Chinese Government in 1998.
