Methods of Zhineng Qigong
In Zhineng Qigong, there are active and passive forms of practicing.
The methods of active Zhineng Qigong consists of a series of movements and postures accompanied by visualization. The use of visualization is to help us to draw qi and transmit qi into our body. It is as important as the movements and postures. The synchronization of movements and visualization is the essence of practicing Zhineng Qigong.
Active Forms of Zhineng Qigong consists of the following levels:
Level 1: Lift Qi Up and Pour Qi Down Level 2: Body and Mind Method Level 3: Five Elements Method Level 4-6: Central HunYuan Methods
Passive forms of Zhineng Qigong mainly focus on the consciousness with few movements or simply fixed postures. There are standing, sitting or lying forms.
There are also basic methods in Zhineng Qigong. The most commonly practiced methods include wall squatting, 3 centres merging standing meditation as well as abdomen massaging. The beginners are all suggested to practice these basic qigong.
The followings are the introduction of some of the methods of Zhineng Qigong
Level 1: Lift Qi Up and Pour Qi Down
This method is a active form in which we learn to exchange qi between the universe and our body. The movements are slow and gentle and the whole process goes together with visualization. It helps open blockages in the body and have temendous effect on disease healing.
3 centres merging standing meditation
This is a standing form that helps us gather qi energy into our body, through head, hand and feet centres. It is used as a transition between level 1 and 2.
Wall squatting
By closely facing the wall, we slowly squat up and down. It helps us stretch our spine, especially the lower area. This method can regulate the whole body. |
